It’s the black winter truffle. The “peridium” or “Scorza” (The outer part) is warty. The “Gleba” (the inside is darker compared to the black summer truffle, like the chocolate colour. It has also a more intense scent and a pleasant aroma.
It is advisable to keep it in the fridge wrapped in absorbent paper, it has to be consumed within 7/8 days. The picking begins the 1st of October until the 31st of December.
